Gen 2 RFID Reader Based On Alien ALR-9800

November 18, 2009

GAO RFID Inc. recommends this robust, easy-to-use ultra-high frequency (UHF) Gen2 RFID reader based on the successful Alien ALR-9800. The RFID reader features enhanced interference rejection, monostatic antenna connections, a small footprint and high read rate. It can be easily integrated with RFID software and is ideal for supply chain or manufacturing and asset management applications. The RFID reader conforms to EPC Gen 2 and ISO 18000-6c standards and withstands dense reader interference.

The Gen 2 RFID reader, model 216007, is interoperable with a majority of RFID platforms, such as Microsoft BizTalk RFID, IBM WebSphere, Oat Systems, and Oracle. One of the key features of this reader is its Autonomous Mode function which allows automated operation based on external triggers, timing or software inputs. It also prevents data loss by caching RFID tag lists in its non-volatile memory, which preserves data even in the event of power failure. In addition, its enhanced noise rejection technology ensures reliable data capture in noisy environments.
