RF IDeas Launches 82 Series Readers

In addition to the standard keyboard emulation readers, RF IDeas also offers a line of 82 Series readers. The RF IDeas 82 Series readers are ideal for integrators and make it possible to use your existing employee badge system for enhanced security and functionality.

Unlike our other standard reader products, the 82 series does not use key stroking to send the card's data, it instead uses a callable DLL. Non-key stroking allows you to integrate reader functions into specific software programs.

The 82 Series readers, available in proximity, contactless or magnetic stripe technologies, are made for easy integration into your software or hardware products through the use of the RF IDeas' Universal Software Developer's Kit (SDK). These low cost readers deliver the card ID in a format that applications recognize, offering virtually limitless possibilities for user identification and authentication.

Now, most any company can easily get started using their existing employee badge system for enhanced security and functionality with applications for door access, time & attendance, multi-function printers, point-of-sale, single sign-on and many more, no matter what type of credentials it uses.
