Micronet Enertec Technologies, Inc. Receives Orders For Recently Launched Rugged Tablets From New Mobile Resource Management Customers

The A307 series Mobile Computing Devices will Support Trucking and Long-Haul Solutions in Chile and in Mexico

Montvale, NJ /PRNewswire/ - Micronet Enertec Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQCM: MICT), a developer and manufacturer that integrates and globally markets rugged computers, tablets and computer-based systems for the commercial Mobile Resource Management (MRM) market and for the defense and aerospace markets, today announced over $400,000 in orders for its A307 mobile computing device from new MRM customers.

These new orders were received from two new customers, one in Chile and one in Mexico, who are specialist MRM solution providers in the trucking and long-haul market segments. Both of these customers will deploy Micronet's A307 fix-mount/portable, Android-based rugged, automotive-grade tablets for in-cab and out-of-cab applications.

The A307 device features a 7" touch-screen display and is offered in two product configurations — one is designed to interface with third-party telematics units, while the other is an "all-in-one" device with built-in cellular, GPS, and vehicle CAN-bus interfaces.

Delivery of orders is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2014, and follow-on orders are expected to continue periodically. These products will be shipped pre-installed with Micronet's GSDtm software, a comprehensive cloud-based platform for MRM services providers and end-user fleet operators to utilize Mobile Device Management (MDM) technology for corporate policy compliance, remote device access for on-line training, support and troubleshooting, and secure Over-The-Air (OTA) application and operating system upgrades.

"As part of our strategy we focus on diversifying our client base, adding new customers, new verticals and delivering the most technologically advanced products. With the A307 and other new generation products we are well positioned to penetrate new markets, acquire new customers from different verticals and to become the preferred supplier of rugged mobile computing tablets for the big and growing MRM market," stated David Lucatz, Chief Executive Officer of Micronet Enertec Inc.
