sttID Presents Compact RFID Multi-Protocol Reader With POE Functionality

SIR-2010 - RFID multi-protocol reader with power over ethernet for retail, logistics and industrial automation

sttID´s 13.56 MHz RFID reader/writer for proximity applications has proven itself in many projects in trade, logistics and industry automation. The SIR-2010 is packaged in a light-weight and ergonomic casing providing a straight forwarded RFID solution.

The device comes with an integrated antenna and provides an output power of up to 400mW. Depending on transponder size reading distances of up to 17 cm can be achieved with that integrated antenna. LEDs visualize the operating modes like detection of RFID transponders. The RFID device fully supports the ISO 15693 standards.

The PoE (Power over Ethernet) functionality allows to be strategically situated in locations that optimize effectiveness bypassing the usual need for AC power. The SIR-2010 offers a strong functionality needed to jumpstart a successful RFID system. It is available both in a casing version and as an OEM version.

With a corresponding configuration in “SmartRead” the SIR-2010 works as a "stand-alone" device and can take over the management of UID numbers in library or access applications.

Especially in entrance processes at the reception or gates the SIR-2010 will support a service-orientated and customer-friendly access as it can be directly integrated into the IT network.
