With over 250 acres of land and 40,000 cars moving through the yard a day, FAPS demanded a unique wireless computing application. They faced several challenges in order to find the correct solution. The first was finding a solution that would not limit the amount of cargo space in the stock-yard. FAPS needed a system that could support wireless connectivity in a large area outdoor management situation with as few access points as possible.
