13.56 MHz PDA Based RFID Reader/Writer

GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) has launched its 13.56 MHz PDA based RFID reader/writer with built-in antenna and a rugged design. It is designed for use in industrial and outdoor environments. It is ideal for field service, direct store delivery, retail, warehouse and manufacturing applications. This rugged RFID reader/writer can be used as a handheld device for information collection and management.

This HF portable RFID reader/writer, model 243002, offers GPRS for data transfer. It reads RFID transponders compliant with ISO 15693 and ISO 14443 A/B standards at a maximum distance of 8 cm depending on the tag. The rugged PDA has an LCD touch screen, 22 key interface, audio output, SD slot, IC card slot, contactless HF RFID, GPRS (900/1800/1900 MHz) and Bluetooth and USB connectivity. It has a dual-battery system: the exterior battery is 1800 mAH while the interior battery is 300 mAH. In addition, it has an IP54 protection rating allowing for robust operation even in harsh environments.
