Barcoding Inc. Acquires Wi-Tec Data Systems: Expands Texas Presence With Acquisition Of Dallas Company

Barcoding Inc., a leader in automated data capture (ADC) solutions, announced recently that they signed a definitive agreement to acquire Wi-Tec Data Systems, a Dallas-based provider of automated data capture solutions for supply chain and mobile computing applications. Under the terms of the agreement, Wi-Tec Data Systems will become Barcoding's Texas Regional Office, creating the seventeenth regional office for the Baltimore-based company.

The Texas Regional Office will be led by Bill Ische, the founder of Wi-Tec Data Systems. Mr. Ische possesses an extensive background in automated data capture and radio frequency identification (RFID) technologies. With nearly 20 years of industry experience, Mr. Ische began his career in 1990, with executive positions at Amtech Systems and Intermec, among others, before launching his own company. He said, "In today's challenging economy, driving costs out of the supply chain is a mission-critical initiative that requires the latest technologies and innovations.
