Distributed by BlueStar, Code Bluetooth bar code readers are the first in industry to earn FIPS 140-2 Level 2. The security level provides more opportunities for sales to federal government entities by BlueStar value-added resellers that carry Code products.

FIPS 140-2 is a U.S. government security standard used to accredit cryptographic modules for use within a government agency's security system to protect sensitive information. To receive this certification, Code completed the rigorous FIPS certification process for both its wireless bar code readers and Bluetooth modems, as outlined by the National Institute for Standards and Technology.
