Brady Introduces UID Packages To Comply With DoD Regulations

Brady Corporation launches the UID System packages for complete compliance with the Department of Defense's mandatory Unique Identification Program (UID).

To improve the management and tracking of their assets, the Department of Defense has made Item Unique Identification (IUID) a mandatory requirement for all solicitations. The DoD demands that all qualifying items are marked with a permanent 2-D Data Matrix that's encoded with a Unique Item Identifier (UII).

Brady's DoD UID System packages provide users with the Brady product and material to:

  • Create and print UID complaint labels
  • Read and validate UII constructs on the labels
  • Verify and grade the labels

Brady provides a variety of online resources for UID specifications at www.bradyid.com/uid. To better understand UID requirements, Brady offers a whitepaper, "A Guide for Understanding the Department of Defenses' UID Program-What It Is and How to Comply" and a FREE UID Compliance webinar.
