The Elf provides a perfect all in one device for any business that is looking for a rugged, feature rich PDA

Datalogic Mobile, a worldwide leader in the design and development of rugged mobile computers, announces its next generation professional PDA, Elf.

Designed predominantly for the workplace the Elf boasts a feature list that you would expect to see in the latest release from any of the major phone manufacturers. Running an XScale PXA 310 @ 624 MHz processor and Microsoft's latest operating system, Windows Mobile 6.5, the Elf provides an interface that is fast, easy to use and navigate.

An inbuilt 3MP autofocus camera with flash is offered in all models, as is WiFi (802.11a/b/g) and Bluetooth (802.15 Class 2). The cellular radio is a Penta-Band HSDPA supporting 850/900/1800/1900/2100 MHz frequencies and integrated GPS is also available. Other standard features include USB On-the-Go (OTG) and Push to Talk (PTT).

Feature for feature, the Elf™ is the equivalent to any of the top PDA's on the market. There is no need to be delicate though; designed for business, the Elf™ is tough. Manufactured to be dropped in the course of your daily activities, it is rated to withstand drops of 1.5 metres onto concrete.

It is also sealed against dust and water (IP 64). Further differentiating it from consumer devices, the Elf comes with a choice of integrated laser or 2D barcode scanner. Both options come with Datalogic's patented Green Spot good read technology. This places a Green spot on the barcode for every successful read.

The Elf gives the ability to manage all the routine tasks encountered each day. Transport, courier, or field service personnel no longer need to master multiple devices or systems. Whether you are capturing proof of delivery, communicating to despatch, or just getting directions to avoid heavy traffic, the Elf™ can deliver.
