Fujitsu Corporate Notebook Trio Combines Dual-Core Processing Power With Security And Style

Corporate Powerhouses Deliver High Reliability and Stability for Lower Total Cost of Ownership

Fujitsu Computer Systems today introduced the LifeBook® E8210 widescreen corporate notebook. It also announced that it is shipping two new editions to its award-winning mobile enterprise lineup, the LifeBook S7110 and LifeBook E8110 notebooks. With enhanced performance delivered by Intel® Centrino® Duo Mobile Technology, multiple layers of security, and durable yet elegant exteriors, this trio of corporate notebooks represents mobile computing for the next-generation enterprise.

The new notebooks incorporate a variety of features designed to increase reliability and reduce total cost of ownership, including a magnesium-alloy casing, spill-resistant keyboard, shock-mounted hard disk drive and stainless-steel hinges. The trio also share modular bay devices, port replicators and software image, simplifying deployment and management for reduced maintenance costs. All three notebooks run Microsoft Windows XP and are capable of running Microsoft Windows Vista.

Of the three new notebooks, the 5.9-pound LifeBook E8210 notebook packs the most power. Featuring a large and bright 15.4-inch widescreen display, the LifeBook E8210 notebook can be configured with the ATI Mobility™ Radeon® X1400 graphics processor, one of the most powerful mobile GPUs on the market. With 128MB of dedicated video memory and up to 256MB of Hypermemory, the LifeBook E8210 notebook delivers the horsepower and tools for displaying or building compelling visual communications with rich multimedia.

The LifeBook E8110 notebook weighs in at 5.7 pounds and is equipped with an ample 15-inch display. This corporate mainstay satisfies the strenuous demands of today's multitasking professional, delivering exceptional performance, rock solid stability, and unmatched security.

Well-positioned within the thin and light market segment, the highly portable and sturdy LifeBook S7110 notebook perfectly balances low weight, high-end performance and state-of-the-art security. Weighing just 4.5 pounds, the LifeBook S7110 notebook offers enhanced viewing with its large 14.1-inch display.

Equipped with the most advanced security features, these notebooks can help reduce the risk of unauthorized access to sensitive data on the network or on the hard drive. Fujitsu has embedded BIOS support for Absolute Software Corporation's Computrace theft protection and secure asset tracking solutions.

Additional security features include an embedded Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2 to protect data and authenticate users, an optional biometric fingerprint swipe sensor, the exclusive Fujitsu Security Panel with 800,000 possible password combinations, two-level Hard Disk password protection, and Smart Card support. The E Series notebooks have a dedicated Smart Card slot while the S Series notebook is Smart Card-ready.

A variety of communications options are available to seamlessly integrate the notebooks into corporate environments, including 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN, Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection, and Bluetooth V2.0.

Price and Availability
The LifeBook S7110 notebook, with pricing starting at $1,449(4) for a base configuration and the LifeBook E8110 notebook, with pricing starting at $1,249 for a base configuration are immediately available. The LifeBook E8210 notebook, with pricing starting at $1,249 for a base configuration will be available in May 2006. LifeBook notebooks are available through the Fujitsu direct sales force, website, channel partners and select retail outlets. Users can choose from a recommended configuration, or they can customize their system using the Fujitsu Configure To Order (CTO) program.

Service and Support
The Fujitsu LifeBook notebooks are backed by a one or three-year International Limited Warranty for U.S. and Canadian customers. The International Limited Warranty includes technical support, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In addition, users can choose from Fujitsu extended service plans, which include an Executive Mobile Service for next day on-site service coverage and a Screen Damage Protection Plan, which provides the owner with screen replacement coverage if the computer screen is accidentally cracked or damaged. The Screen Damage Protection Plan is only available in the U.S. and Canada.
