Handheld RFID Data Collection Terminal Allows For Wireless Communication

GAO RFID Inc. has rolled out its handheld RFID data collection terminal which integrates excellent data collection functions and wireless communication configurations into one unit. It is specially designed for industrial applications including logistics, warehouse and manufacturing. This portable RFID reader/writer is also ideal for retail, cold chain, asset tracking and quality tracing.

This innovative handheld RFID data collection terminal, model 243015, accurately reads ISO15693, ISO18000-3, ISO14443A and ISO14443B compliant tags. It operates at either low frequency or high frequency and is able to read 1D, 2D and other format barcodes. This compact data collection terminal offers multiple wireless communication methods including WiFi, GPRS, EDGE, EVDO, Bluetooth and infrared.

The RFID barcode reader is shipped with a 5.0 megapixel fixed color camera and offers a GPS positioning function. It allows data exchange through USB1.1 or RS232/RS485 interfaces. This data collection terminal displays the results on a 3.5 in. color touch TFT-LCD screen with backlight. It is IP 64 rated and is shock resistant and is able to withstand drops from a height of 1.2 m to concrete. In addition, operating under Windows CE 5.0 system, this advanced RFID terminal also provides a full-featured SDK.
