Lowry Announces A New Vice President Of Technology Selection & Development

Lowry Computer Products, a leading provider of RFID-EPC, wireless, bar code and data collection solutions, is pleased to announce the promotion of Denis Bishop to the position of Vice President, Technology Selection & Development. Mr. Bishop joined Lowry in March of 1981, and has held various technical positions within the company such as Systems Engineer, Product Manager, Manager of Technical Services and Project Manager.

"Denis has played a very significant role in the advancement of Lowry's technology offering during the past twenty-four years," said Mike Lowry, President and CEO of Lowry Computer Products. "In the mid-90s, Denis was responsible for our installation of the largest Radio Frequency (RF) network in the country for the Department of Defense's Logistics Agency."

As Vice President of Technology Selection & Development, Denis Bishop will be responsible for overseeing the development of all aspects of the new Lowry RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) lab for customer case and pallet testing, and for identifying specific hardware and software vendors and solution sets for high-level customer projects.

While serving in the United States Marine Corps as a Sergeant in the 4th Marine Aircraft wing during the late '70s, Mr. Bishop studied electricity/electronics in the Navy Technical Training Command and also attended the Combat Systems Technical School. He went on to become a Certified Wireless Network Engineer and completed training for an array of products from leading technology providers such as Symbol Technologies, Zebra Technologies, PSC, Printronix, Connect Inc., Welch-Allyn and Datamax.
