MaxVision's BPac 8000 ultra-compact, rugged, highly-reliable, multi-modal (finger/face/iris) biometric handheld computer is now available with a modular FBI-certified SAP45 (Appendix F) 1.5 x 1.6 inch dual fingerprint sensor option capable of capturing both flat and rolled fingerprints.
MaxVision®'s BPac 8000 ultra-compact, rugged, highly-reliable, multi-modal (finger/face/iris) biometric handheld computer is now available with a modular FBI-certified SAP45 (Appendix F) 1.5 x 1.6 inch dual fingerprint sensor option capable of capturing both flat and rolled fingerprints.
The BPac 8000 is well known for its extreme portability and MIL STD IP67 rating. The optional 1.5 lbs 2-Print dock has the functionality to address multiple operational scenarios with the speed and mobility necessary to meet all requirements of EBTS submission to DOD/DHS/FBI biometric databases. For example, the dock option supports full 10-print flat and roll capture. Alternatively, the dock option can be removed and the BPac 8000's integrated SAP10 fingerprint sensor can be employed for quick ID look ups.
In addition, the BPac 8000 can be set up as a desktop enrollment station with multiple USB ports for external tethered devices, such as Appendix F 10-Print Live Scan units, DNA capture peripherals, signature pads, passport readers, etc. The BPac 8000 also features a serial port for an external monitor and external headphone and microphone jacks, all without the need to carry a separate laptop computer. True portable forensic kit scenarios that can easily be carried on an aircraft and stored in an overhead compartment are now possible. The BPac 8000 is offered with the Windows XP or Windows 7 operating systems and supports multiple third-party industry-leading EBTS-compliant software applications.
"Our vision is to deliver what our customers need in a very rapid timeline by integrating best of breed COTS technology to meet their specific requirements," said Bruce Imsand, CEO. "The BPac 8000 is another successful example of this approach. We also offer our customers a true upgrade path; as new sensor technology becomes available, users can simply swap out an existing dock for a next-generation dock without having to replace the entire system."
