Mouse-Sized USB Enabled RFID Reader/Writer

 

GAO RFID Inc. is offering its USB enabled RFID reader/writer for verification and programming of RFID tags and labels, personnel identification and access control to computers or terminals. It is also ideal for Point–of–Sales (POS) applications or use with similar data entry instruments and many other applications for supply chain, retail, or logistics.

This mouse-sized hot-pluggable RFID reader/writer, model 223015, is designed for the desk–top and is available for both HF (13.56 MHz) and LF (125 kHz) RFID frequencies. UHF  version (model 216008) is also available from this line of products.The dual frequency reader is compatible with the following transponder protocols: ISO 156931-class unique number,1-Code™, 1–Code SLI, my–D, my–D secure, ISO 14443A, mifare®, ISO 14443B unique number in HF mode and HID®, proxEntry®, HITAG2, EM4002/4102 in LF mode.

The easy–to–use, Plug and Play, mouse–like RFID reader is encased in plastic and connects to any standard USB port for data transmission and for power supply. Simple LED indicators immediately verify the status of the RFID transponder that is within its read range of approximately 3 cm. The portable, light–weight unit ships with a 1.5m USB cable and demo software and sample tags that will have the user up and running without delay.
