NovoDynamics' VERUS OCR Powers In-Line Recognition Of Global Languages Within ibml Scanners

Ann Arbor, MI--(Marketwire) - NovoDynamics, Inc., a recognized leader in providing advanced document capture solutions, today announced that ibml, a recognized leader in providing efficient scanning and document capture processes, has chosen NovoDynamics' VERUS™ optical character recognition (OCR) software to provide in-line recognition of global languages as part of document scanning. Data in multiple and complex global languages can now be captured and managed as part of normal document management processes without any manual intervention. The new solution is being offered internationally through NCR Corporation and other ibml business partners.

It automatically detects and cleans degraded and skewed documents, automatically identifies a page's primary language, recognizes a page's fonts without manual intervention, determines whether a page contains manual or handwritten text and allows extracted information to be converted into searchable PDF files.

ibml's in-line global language recognition solution is available to users of the ImageTrack Scanning Platform Capture Suite running ibml scanners. In addition to capturing data in multiple languages, users are able to take full advantage of the process improvement features of ibml scanners, including document preparation savings and automated sorting at transport speed.
