RFID / Smart Card Reader Combo For Differentiated ID Solutions

The Initiative Mittelstand has Elatec RFID system for its Multi-Technology reader TWN4 MultiTech Smart Card (formerly TWN4 Smart Card NFC) awarded the IT Innovation Award. The manufacturer of RFID read-write systems received for its product in the category Auto ID / RFID rated "BEST OF 2015".

The new generation TWN4 MultiTech smartcard support in a single device a variety of contactless 125kHz-, 134,2kHz- and 13 , 56MHz technologies and at the same time the contact-type smart card technology according to ISO / IEC7816. This enables the realization of differentiated authentication scenarios in identity and access management. On a parallel unit can fast, contactless applications with RFID and NFC and also access controls that require to remain a smart card in the reader, can be realized. The award-winning combo Reader TWN4 is compatible with all standard NFC next 125kHz-, 134,2kHz- and 13.56 MHz technologies. Equipment manufacturers and system integrators thus gain maximum flexibility to adapt their solutions to the already in use at the customer's transponder various RFID standards. Innovation Award The Initiative Mittelstand awarded the Innovation Prize IT companies innovative IT solutions with a high value for the SME sector. The jury of 100 scientists, industry experts and specialized journalists chose 2015 several thousand submissions. Prizes were awarded to a total of 60 solutions in 41 categories from Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
