Samsung Announces Galaxy Tab Active Pro: Enterprise Edition

Samsung’s most productive rugged device yet, designed for on-the-go working professionals

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today introduces the Galaxy Tab Active Pro Enterprise Edition; the business-optimised rugged tablet enabling industrial professionals to achieve the best possible work performance.

An evolution of the Galaxy Tab Active2, the Galaxy Tab Active Pro has been designed to give users more choice, control and protection. With many businesses managing large, disparate teams in the field, the new Galaxy Tab Active Pro helps workforces stay productive wherever work takes them.

Designed to meet a balance of consumer design and traditional rugged features like IP68^[1] and MIL-STD-810G^[2] certification, the Galaxy Tab Active Pro is the most rugged and high performing device Samsung has ever made. It combines the utility and security of a PC with the versatility and portability of a tablet, and its rugged features make it suitable for hostile working environments.

The 10.1” WUXGA display makes large format, high-resolution content more accessible than ever before, and the highly responsive inbox S Pen also enables precision input required for capturing data on-the-go. What’s more, the Tab Active Pro is exclusively available with Galaxy Enterprise Edition, Samsung’s first all-in-one mobility solution. Businesses can now easily configure, update, deploy and run a mobile ecosystem at scale, all backed up by Samsung Knox defence-grade security.

With extended product lifecycle^[3], 4-years security and maintenance patches^[4] plus, 3-year enhanced service support⁵ —users can request a specialist mobile engineer to assist on the set-up of Knox, the OS and support on any MDM interoperability problems. • Samsung DeX: Featured for the first time in a rugged tablet, Samsung DeX connects the Galaxy Tab Active Pro to a monitor with a single cable⁶ for a PC-like experience. No cable? No problem. Users can switch to DeX mode and use their tablet like a PC, so they can have multiple windows open, quickly draft emails and send status reports back from the field. Then, they can head back in the office move to extensive editing and collaboration on a bigger screen
• Samsung Knox:Keep company data safe with the defence-grade security of Knox Platform that protects the Galaxy Tab Active Pro from the chip up. Knox Configure lets users automate configuration and customisation, and Enterprise FOTA makes remote device management and deployment of security patches a snap. It also features biometric security including facial recognition and home button fingerprint scanner, so there’s no password to remember
