TEKLYNX CODESOFT Conversion Program To Include Zebra BAR-ONE Lite

Source: TEKLYNX International

TEKLYNX® International today extended its previously announced transition program for Zebra® Technologies Corporation's BAR-ONE® 6 label design and printing software to include BAR-ONE Lite. The conversion program to TEKLYNX CODESOFT® 7 Special Edition label design and printing software program is in response to the discontinuation of Zebra's BAR-ONE Desktop, ProPlus and Platinum editions of its software line on September 30, 2005. The extension to BAR-ONE Lite gives users of Zebra's free, bundled label software a 20% discount on the full-version cost of any CODESOFT 7 SE package.

Since Zebra Technologies' BAR-ONE brand software (Versions 6.01, 6.04 and 6.05) is based upon CODESOFT-brand software by TEKLYNX, all BAR-ONE Lite label designs can be opened in CODESOFT 7 SE. The extended transition program enables users of the free version to follow an orderly software upgrade path.

BAR-ONE Lite users who upgrade will be able to take advantage of TEKLYNX CODESOFT 7 SE full version capabilities, including broad printer support, UNICODE Job Modifier and bi-directional communications for RFID laser printing, without having to convert existing label designs. The discounted upgrade program for BAR-ONE Lite will be available through December 31, 2005.

The CODESOFT 7 Special Edition software package is available immediately through TEKLYNX solution providers. BAR-ONE users can register for upgrades at www.teklynx.com/cs7se. Additional information on CODESOFT 7 SE can also be found on the same site.
