Tracking Solution: RFID, LTD. Announces Process TrackStar To Governmental Entities Needing To Track Nuclear And Non-Nuclear Waste
RFID, LTD. announced finalized development of their new High Frequency (HF) RFID tool called Process TrackStar. This comprehensive process tracking system is designed to be interchangeable with components that can be added to meet the manufacturer's specific needs.
When a suite of components are used together, Process TrackStar helps the client evaluate and improve the quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of the supply chain process. Process TrackStar helps reduce process variability, improves customer satisfaction by reducing product and handling nonconformity, records all stages of the process while aiding in the control of valuable manufacturing documents from start to finish.
"This new product will play a key role in process-critical operations, such as governmental waste management," stated Betty Chavez, CEO, RFID, LTD. "We are not hesitating to introduce this product to our Federal customers as we feel that it is the supply chain solution that they have been waiting for."
Process TrackStar has been designed to effectively address Federal waste management issues. Environmental regulations force the Department of Energy and their contractors to physically move waste from storage facilities every forty-five (45) days before substantial fines are incurred.
Process TrackStar will show when the waste was last transported, from where it was transported, to where it was transported, and by whom. This information is encrypted along with information detailing the contents of each container.
This will allow the budget that is currently being wasted on hefty fines to be redeployed for permanent waste management, storage and containment solutions.
RFID, LTD. was approved for the SBA HUBZone Empowerment Contracting Program in 2005 which could position them especially well for Federal waste tracking programs.
As of October 1, 2000, all Federal agencies are subject to the requirements of the HUBZone Program. The statute sets the goal for HUBZone contracts to be 3% of a Federal department's overall spend. The 3% goal sets the United States Department of Defense (DoD) HUBZone spend target at approximately $4.6 billion per annum.
