The Alpha-40L RFID is IP54-rated for dust and water resistance capable of withstanding a 3.3-foot (1.0 m) tumble and 6-foot (1.8 m) drop, and meets MIL-STD-810G military drop and vibration standards. For additional peace of mind, an optional IP-rated protective case is available for enhanced ruggedness to withstand up to an 8.2-foot (2.5 m) drop. The rugged design is ideal for applications such as direct store delivery (DSD) and industrial field service.

The Alpha-40L RFID also provides SDK software packs for Windows™ and Windows™ Mobile (WinCE), Android™ and iOS for non-RFID applications. With SDK software packs integrated into the Alpha-40L RFID mobile printer, users can easily store and manage settings to reduce programming time for faster deployment.
